Because it blew up in her face and people accused her of doing something she wasn't doing. She's a big girl, she can face the music, as absurd as the music is.
Did she even make any other comment except for the stupid Kanye joke? I know that she called the baby "gorgeous". Are people more mad about her not being stern with the other guests on the panel or are they mad at something she actually said?

Um she stated it was funny pics of 2013. I believe Alter, her comment started with one of these is not like the others and went from there. Your lie concerning her parentage was a feeble attempt to cover for her stupid arse and her hit job.

I don't remember her calling it a funny photo, but that must have been what she thought. The setup was she asked her panel to "caption" the photo. They responded by making jokes about how it showed the diversity of the Republican Party with a bunch of white people and one black one.
To me she messed up, apologized, and we should move on. But I do understand the frustration from people that say that the outrage against this type of humor only seems to go one way politically speaking. MSNBC gets a pass that Fox wouldn't get.
