Based on 2013 data...

TAMU: 489 pass attempts (339 comp)
LSU: 326 pass attempts (205 comp)

WRs are getting 163 more attempts, so roughly 10 more catches a game. We run 4 WR sets. LSU runs 2 (maybe 3) with a full back and TE most of the time.

If I were a big bruising RB, I'd go to LSU. If I was a WR, I'd take my chances at A&M.
you just said it yourself, 339 completions to 4 WRs ("per capita" 84.75 comp/WR) as compared to 205 comp per 2 WRs ("per capita" 102 comp/rec).

That's why LSU has 2 going into the draft and 2 1k yd receivers.

(by the way... this doesn't even matter in recruiting some kids, Speedy included).

If year-2-year performance was the deciding factor TAMU wouldn't even get 3*'s on D.

And how many receivers has A&M put into the NFL compared to LSU?

How many project in the future?

That's shat these kids are deciding based on.

They don't care about WRs that played for Mike Sherman or Dennis Francione. They care that Kyle Allen is coming and will be passing a lot.

Evan REAL STATS..............

LSU will have 2 WRs drafted

A&M will have 1 WR drafted

Not to mention I'll take Malachi, Quinn, and DJ thanks.......

I don't get the freakout over Frank or Noil going to A&M, LSU is getting theirs at WR TOO.

I don't disagree with that statement at all. The list is quite long: LaFell, Bowe, Doucet, Randle (sp?). I'm forgetting someone recent. Plus, Beckham and Landry will both go.

Just look at it from their perspective though. You guys have a smaller WR core, and the elite/cream-of-the-crop rise to the top and get the 2 starting WR positions. The rest have to wait on the pine or play some mop-up duty behind your 2 all-stars each year.

Again, if I were a WR, I'd go for what offense throws the ball more. Swope really had it bad with his concussion symptoms. However, technically we had 1 WR drafted 2 years in a row, and it is very likely that we'll have another couple drafted over the next two years.

You are making my point for me. You've got 2 kids hogging the ball who are elite. Who else is going to get a shot with them as the 2 starting WRs? A&Ms offense allows for more kids to showcase their pass catching abilities. If you don't understand that...sorry. Seems pretty simple to me.

I wouldn't argue against that if you said be a starter. It's a decent opinion based on results. I personally like Deshazer Everett and he think he could start for LSU now. And think others could be in the 2 deep. Possibly Claiborne play over Welter who I wasn't a fan of his performance.

Everett would be on the two deep, but Rashard Robinson and Tre White are already better than him. Not a knock, those two are first or second rounders in a few years.

Claiborne would start, but once Clifton Garrett gets in town IDK.

I'm about to butcher his name, but Obioha would play a lot as well. And probably one of your safeties.

So, they are basing their decision on what a once in a generation QB could do and thinking that will continue when he's gone?

Don't have to - we'll be able to see how many of them end up in the NFL compared to the ones that come to LSU.

Bookmarked for 2018 NFL Draft

And the talent of player recruited in the past had NOTHING to do with LSU producing more NFL receivers. And A&M recruiting Ricky Seals Jones, Speedy Noil, etc will have NOTHING to do with how many pros we produce. Only the name on our jerseys.
