He has played terrible this year and his competition has been terrible yet he lit the "vaunted" Saban defense up.

Yes - he did. I guess he played good.

Maybe you can, but he brought up BAMA, so I responded. I wasn't inaccurate.

How do you think we would have fared?

Two things. Is Zach playing and are we going to turn the ball over five times?

If he plays and we don't give Oklahoma 21 points, I think we do ok.

In NOLA? Yes. We would need Mett though.

Oklahoma is a decent team, nothing special. Stoops was outstanding tonight though. He had his team playing with reckless abandon and it paid off.

i think we do beat OU. Bama does not match up well with teams like that. We do.

I think we would have played with Mett, yes. OU was on a mission tonight and they would have been a handful for any team.

Biggest difference between LSU and Alabama is Beckham and Landry, I think those 2 would have been more important than Hill. I don't think the LSU defense would have fared much better against OU tonight than Alabama though.
Really depends which LSU team shows up the one from Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama, or Arkansas game or the one from Texas A&M, Auburn

After losing Mett, it is a good thing we didn't get a more prominent bowl. AJ just wasn't up to the challenge yet. I believe one of the QBs will get there.

I think next year out offense actually resembles more of the 09-12 offense with so many new starters in place. Would be a lot of ask a young QB to come out and try to lead like Mett did

That was some inspired football for 60 minutes. They looked like they were on a mission.

BUT... If LSU was on a mission and was able to play the way they did against A & M??? They beat Oklahoma, even as good as Okie played last night... IMO, Bama was sluggish and didn't want to be there... Kinda like when they played Utah a few years ago.

Without ZM? No

With ZM.... No.

Their pressure would have eaten LSU alive. OU's quarterback was outstanding. On many of the deep balls he threw there was nothing the defender could do. It was OU's night.

I think our defense does better as we do well against spread type teams.

LSU would have won by 10 points. We would run at them again and again and they would break. We would dominate the time of possession.

Not sure but LSU would have probably been more excited to be there. And LSU has shut down offenses in Auburn and A&M that Alabama couldn't. So who knows
Very good point. As maligned as our defense was for so much of the year (I certainly dogged them) they acquitted for themselves quite well down the stretch and outside of giving up at Bama they did contain Auburn for the most part and shut down JFF et al. and shut down Iowa (although most SEC teams could have as well).

The LSU bowl team would've had no chance against OU last night. You're delusional if you think otherwise.

Looking forward to an improved team next season though.
