Offense > 7 returning starters(QB will be Junior)
Defense > 4 starters return(3 defensive backs)
Special Teams > All return

How do we stack up?
How important is that game being it is at beginning of season?
How much better will year 2 be with Cam compared with this year?
Toughest games to win besides Auburn on road and Bama at home?

Playing Ark whose coach came from Wisconsin and playing Big Ten Iowa is good tuneups for what to expect from another Big Ten team.

Wisconsin will be a step up from Iowa, they do lose some leadership but bring back enough to present strong challenge.

In essence the best thing for LSU is that Jennings got some meaningful game action otherwise the LSU offense would have been awful in the season opener.

My guess is the first start against Iowa will really make him work that much harder in offseason and will also give those other QB's motivation to compete as well. We may be back to a 2 QB system if another steps up and emerges.

Should be a good matchup. They're better than Iowa.

Not very. A loss wouldn't kill us. We'll lose 1 or 2 in the SEC, so a non-conference loss early in the season won't derail the season.

Well, you saw Jennings yesterday. It will be fun to see how much he can improve of the course of next season.

Unfortunately (and unnecessarily), Arkansas and Ole Miss

I was rooting for Wisconsin to win so they would have a lot of preseason hype when we face them kind of like how Clemson did.

Depends how Stave progresses over the Spring and Summer.. Has showed he may have potential however, Abbrederis, their star WR will be gone, and that could be very problematic.

James White is staying in school, if Melvin Gordon chooses to as well they will be very good on the ground probably the best this LSU defense has ever seen.

Wisconsin's defense isn't anything special but they're old-school, if Jennings struggles in his second game with ODB and Landry gone Wisconsin definitely will make them work.

Should be a damn good game

I think Wisconsin loses a lot of players, but they'll still have some good RBs in the stable and a QB returning.

Prayers sent for our offense. Holy.frick.

Defense better be ready to play in this one. Right now, we our chances are about 50/50 IMO.

We're losing the bulk of our offensive firepower. No Mett, Hill, Landry and Beckham. The passing game is going to struggle early on. We'll have to lean on the run game and hope that our defense returns to pre-2013 performance.

joel stave will not be the qb next year...we are kinda in the same boat as you guys. great o line, with awesome backs, and no real answer at WR yet. are defense should be very good, though they are losing front 7 they have alot of players coming back that have played in games this year due to the new 3-4 defense and constant subing.

As far as other tough games besides Wisky, Auburn and Bama, I agree with LSUJuice. you can count that the fricking Ole Miss game will be another Barn Burner with that Bo Wallace at the helm and agree that Arky will be tough up at their land. As LSUJuice posited, these games shouldnt be tough but you can bet they will. I also expect Florida to be a tough game in Gainesville, I expect them to be better and although we have had MSU's number, I expect a tough game out of them also in Tiger Stadium. Certainly looking for a great year but won't be a cake walk at least that's my opinion.
