yeah, they've got that at georgia blues in madison. i've never tried it. personally i like to try several different beers so i don't think it's something i'd necessarily need.

When is the rum house on Perkins supposed to open?

Cool, 80 TV's and a beer garden isn't going to make up for the fact that it's still a fricking Walk-ons.

The Baton Rouge POlice will love it! Don't they set up a DWI checkpoint in that area weekly???

frick all y'all in here. I welcome walk ons. Love their cajundillas and buffalo chicken sandwich.

For some reason I see a walkons working here. It's a known name in BR. Local product. Yeah, it may not be that great, but I'm sure those assholes will make it work

I think 3 is the max they can get in BR. I hope they don't have aspirations like Twin Peaks to put 5 in the area. Walk Ons is getting aggressive with that store opening and, according to Landry, one down here in Houma.

I respect everyone's opinion here. To me there food isn't the best but it reminds me of my time at LSU and I try to go every time I am in town. It holds a lot of sentimental value as does Chimes.

I respect the honesty, and that truly is what it's all about for most I have to believe.

For 4 years at LSU my mom and dad would come visit me once every week or two (from Ponchatoula) and we would go eat at Walk On's or Chimes 80% of the time. My parents and wife will even admit the food isn't the best and service is hit or miss, but they know it means a lot to me so they never question going there.

I'm on the opposite side of that coin, in that when I return to Hammond and eat at Brady's I get to take a trip down memory lane, but truth be known, I have to believe that if Brady's and Walk On's were next door to each other in either area, Brady's would bury Walk On's in short order.

I think this is the fourth sports bar to occupy that location in the ten years or so that Towne Center has been open. Could it be that the demographics are just not there to support a sports bar?
I thought the same of the location The Bulldog chose , yet that seems to have worked

Bulldog had a good name for themselves before coming to BR. And it was pretty much the first beer bar in BR.

Pretty much, and why would I pick them over Dempseys?
Truth is, its not a sports bar area. Just take a look at the restaurants in the vicinity, and it's pretty clear. Mugshots sucked, which only made it that much worse. Walk On's is admittedly much better, but still pretty adequate food when you get down to it. I just don't see the draw in that area when you have so many better choices to pick from, but I suppose they'll pick up where Mugsies left off. I feel the same way about Portico moving to Southdowns next to that kind of food. Either they're drinking their own koolaid or they think Dreams really do come true.

I'm from Ponchatoula so I know Brady's well. The sandwiches at Brady's are much better. I just wish Brady's would put some money into the place. Every time I go, I feel like my chair is going to fall apart. They need a better beer selection as well.
