Best pralines in New Orleans?

I've become a big fan of pralines after visiting Savannah last year and I was wondering which place has what is considered to be the best in New Orleans, because I know New Orleans is supposed to be famous for them. I've been to New Orleans many times, but I've never gotten pralines. Thanks for the suggestions.

If you want to get the best, go to the Desire Housing Project and ask for Aunt Jemima.

My favorite are actually Brennan's of Houston. You can order them off their website

River Street Sweets in Savannah are my favorites. I can't imagine that they can get any better, but I'll be very excited if I happen to stumble upon some that are.

Aunt Sally's it is then, although the first two suggestions are hard to pass up

I agree with Brennan's of Houston and are great gifts. They come in a nice box to prevent breakage.

There is a place in NO in a black neighborhood called the Praline Connection and they are amazing! I've been there once long ago.

there is a place on Decatur, like two doors down from Bienville House. Perfect pralines and all kinds of other sweets.

Best I've had I found on the counter at petite Amelie on dumaine and royal. You may want to call before going. They buy them from a local, so they don't have them daily.

I love Pointe Coupee Pecans. There sugared pecans are awesome. You get more of a pecan taste than just pure sugar like a praline. Way better than any pralines.

There's an old black man, who rides down my street on a bicycle and sells them for a buck a piece. I don't know how else to identify them, but they're pretty damn good.

I have been eating these every year for Christmas for at least 10 years, only this year I found out they were microwaved and so easy
1 pound light brown sugar mixed with1/2 pint heavy cream... Microwaved for 10 min in large glass bowl
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 tablespoon of butter, pinch of salt and 2 cups chopped pecans and drop on aluminum foil
