have been eating these every year for Christmas for at least 10 years, only this year I found out they were microwaved and so easy
1 pound light brown sugar mixed with1/2 pint heavy cream... Microwaved for 10 min in large glass bowl
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 tablespoon of butter, pinch of salt and 2 cups chopped pecans and drop on aluminum foil
BTW, the best pralines I've ever had were at Aunt V's in Gulfport and Waveland. The owner (Cheryl Blackstock) died back a few years ago and apparently nobody in the family wanted to continue the praline business of many years. Those Aunt V's chocolate pralines's were one of Top 5 food items I've ever put in my mouth. I'm going to try tweaking the above recipe with cocoa and marshmellows to see if I can get anywhere close to that unique taste.
