Our LSU Basketball Team Needs Our Support

I don't understand the lack of support for basketball. The school has an enrollment of 30,000. Now I get that the majority of those people don't care about sports but all we need is 13,000 fans. Even if only 5,000 students show, we can easily fill another 8,000 in fans not attending the school. Geez.

It is ashamed that every time LSU makes it to national TV, the stands are half empty.

Football is basically over for the year and baseball is soon to be starting but that isn't until February. So what is the excuse?

This is our team everybody!

Anthony Hickey - Best PG in the SEC, hands down. He might take some shots that make us question his decisions but he still makes enough of them to justify shooting them. He is one of the best in the nation in steals and is top 5 in the SEC in assists.

Andre Stringer - His height is meaningless. He has some amazing range too. It starts in the parking lot.

Jordan Mickey - Where did this guy come from? He can straight ball. As a true freshmen, this guy is more polished than most veterans.

Jarell Martin - Without that early season injury, Martin might already be up to speed. I don't have to tell you about his talent, we all know about it already. He will get there folks, just be ready when he does.

Johnny O'Bryant - If JOB III was three inches taller, we would be talking about him being drafted first overall next year. This guy is a beast in the low post and a consistent rebounder. Not many guys in the NCAA can drop double doubles like he does, night after night. But the most impressive part of his game is his ability to get past a double or triple team. He has power and quickness. It is seriously one of the more impressive things to watch when he gets through a double team and hits a shot.

Things to Work On:

Free Throws - I don't get it. How can you have such a talented team and no one can make free throws? It is the easiest shot of any sport ever. There is no other sport that allows a player a chance to take a shot at points without a defender being able to stop him. LSU ranks 294th in the country in FT %. That is so bad I don't even want to talk about it anymore.

Competition - Our two losses came against the two best opponents we have played. The time to win is now. We have two more games before the start of SEC play and only a few weeks before we take on Mizzou and Kentucky. These are the games to win and start the SEC out with a little run.


SO GO TO THE GAMES PEOPLE!!!! THIS TEAM IS THE BEST WE HAVE HAD IN YEARS!!!!!!!!!
