I don't own a jersey so it's got to be college for me.

College, and it isn't close.
And because of my love of college football, I find it hard to drop those allegiances when former LSU foes move on to the NFL so it's almost impossible to really PULL for any one NFL team that may be littered with guys I pulled against a year or two previously. At this point, I'll casually watch an NFL game, and my biggest interest is in watching former Tigers play well.

Love college football. I also like H. S. football. No interest in professional sports( they are overpaid performers).

The 80s and 90s were the best times for NFL football. I loved watching my Saints even though we were terrible on offense, we had the Dome Patrol. Now the NFL is watered down and most of the games are hard to watch.
I'll watch college all day. My adrenaline starts to pump before every LSU game like I'm about to run onto the field. Even a game between Washington and USC is more intriguing than some NFL games.

This--basketball and baseball, too

College and it isn't even close. A lot more exciting to watch, better OT rules (no game should end in a tie) keep playing until it ends and kids who are playing their hearts out to try and make it one more level.

College. I love the Saints and all, but I get much more amped up on Saturdays.
Could not agree more.

I'd have to say, your choice of population is terrible.
27/28 = 96.43% of this thread think college is better than the NFL; however, the NFL has better ratings, more money, and better athletes.

College all day long. The only NFL I watch is the Saints.

This question is largely dependent on geographical location.
the south loves college football more than NFL, but the north is comprised of NFL lovers who may or may not follow college.

College for sure. Everything about it (minus the skill) is better than the NFL

This...and although it's an entirely different topic, it's these non hardcore college football fans (and media/networks) which are going to turn college football into a version of college basketball where the post season is more important than the real season in a few short years. Much like college basketball is driven by March Madness and most "fans" don't pay a lick of attention before the first of every year, so too will the casual "fan" dictate what happens with college football.

How much do you think they should be paid?

College football is far superior to the NFL.
There's no emotion or pageantry in the NFL. For an NFL fan, there's no real connection to the team, other than that it's based in our city.
For college, there's a much deeper connection. Many of us went to the college or have been to the campus many times. The players are almost all from our state and from high schools that we attended or know well. And most of the players are 18-22 year old kids who play because they love the game, instead of millionaire prima donnas.
Cheerleaders, marching bands, fight songs, pretty campus, rivalries, etc. There's just far more of an emotional connection with the college game.

College all day, they need to take the ejection and targeting rule out though.

Yeah, I think that's true. I'm also wondering if college baseball is bigger in the South as well.
I know I prefer to watch College Baseball rather than MLB. I can relate to a College kid that lives in the neighborhood playing on Scholly but not some guy making 100+ million a year.
As far as the NFL I am only interested in the Saints.
I have no interest in watching any other team, but for instance I will watch as many bowl games as I can with all the SEC teams playing not just my Tigahs.
