This is PRECISELY the point of this thread. Quite literally, 90%+ of this entire Saban to Texas fiasco is driven by message board posters that no one knows and that have nothing to lose by being "definitive" about subjects that they may have no clue about.

Has he ever been at one job this long? I seriously don't get the people that bring this up! He has stated before that he's not going anywhere but a lot of people don't believe him.

Pretty much what I think will happen, but without any solid dates on when it does. I think right now Sexton is negotiating and using the TX possibility as a tool to get Saban as much money as he can get for him at AL. When that happens, Saban signs and AL announces the new contract extension. UT folks melt down tremendously at this point and the powers that be struggle to find a replacement. UT folks melt down again when they find out who that is.
I might melt down a little, myself, because I want him to go to TX, though I don't believe he will.

I'm all over the place.
At first, I didn't believe it all but just wanted to observe/encourage the frenzy.
Then I became about 70% sure he was leaving because it was just too silent.
Now, I'm starting to waver back towards "He's staying" because...it's just too silent.
Matters not to me in the long run. It's all just entertainment and did this board ever entertain me this week!
