if this actually gets cam cam to stick around, would that be the first time in college football history that the "coach in waiting" title meant something?

A guy like Miles can brush off the negativity about him easy enough, but I can see him saying at some point "that's enough".

It meant something for Jimbo. They just had to push Bobby out of the door unceremoniously.

Kleinpeter clarifies in the comments:

quote:

I think there will a few changes on the offensive staff. Certainly Stud. Ensminger may move to an administrative job and Adam Henry will probably go.

Again unsure if this is speculation or not. He does kinda offhandedly reference "movers & shakers" in the TAF but even assuming he talked to one of them, who knows whether they know what they're talking about.

What evidence is out there that suggests Cam Cameron is quality head coaching material?

Head coach and OC are two entirely different jobs, requiring entirely different skill sets. All great coordinators are NOT NECESSARILY successful head coaches.

Cam hasn't succeeded as a head coach when he tried before. Maybe he'd be better on the third try, but maybe he's just not cut out to be a head coach and is in his perfect spot as an OC.

Stud and Ensminger are out, imo

One can only hope. They should've been shown the door after last year.

most of these 'in waiting' deals never come to fruition anyway. just a way to keep other teams away.

Not going to jam on Les, but just as far as gametime, what does he do that any competent coach couldn't?

I think if there is any truth to this, Les would be training Cam up in the area that he's strongest in, which is recruiting. That's the one thing I fear if Miles ever leaves.

this. he will just move to a non coaching role. He will probably help with recruiting and evaluation.

If Cam becomes the LSU coach one day and he's successful, wouldnt we still have to deal with the Michigan rumors?

If Henry is going to leave, hopefully it is after this recruiting class has signed on the dotted line

Some people just have way too much time on their hands and nothing to do with...how about some facts!

I've said this for the last two years. This man has a life to lead outside of football. I give him two more years tops, before he has the want to walk away......As far as CC coach in waiting I'm skeptical
