Not to mention, the effect of Doomsday was made greater by Superman's affect on the people of earth. Supes had been around for a while. They loved him. And then he died. It was tragic.
In the scope of this universe, Superman just got there. The army wants to control him. He and Zod just destroyed Metropolis. If another alien shows up and beats him to death, is it really going to have any effect of the people of earth?

So the voiceover for the Avengers "Honest Trailer" was right. The Avengers did put all of DC comics on Suicide watch.

I kinda like all the moves they are making for some reason, Phoenix would add an incredible actor to the mix if they can do it.
