To hell with looks.
I worry / wonder what it will be like for a right / left fielder to run full speed on grass to get to a ball in foul territory, and then try to stop on a completely different surface.
Looks don't matter at all compared to player safety concerns.

It's not anything to worry about. The new stuff plays pretty close when crossing over. Stopping on the artificial stuff isn't much different than natural, even when it's wet.
