of course he has way better feet
Mett has great feet in the pocket. Can he take off and run? Not really. But, Mett moves in the pocket extremely well. Go watch any game film. He just naturally tends to stay right in the pocket that the OL gives him. Will move up slightly when he needs to, moves to the left, to the right. It just happens effortlessly.

Now, if you were trying to say that Jennings is black, so he must be faster than Mett, that's one thing. But, we have zero idea if Jennings has good feet in the pocket. None. He might be terrible at it.

This is the precise characteristic to which I wrote when I assigned the quality of "better".

I was not referring to Mett's slide ability in the pocket (which I agree is excellent).

Haven't really seen a lot of footage on him

That's exactly what Miles an co want for next season. Use our best chance at winning now with Mett then spend the entire offseason working on Jennings to improve him. He'll be fine. He'll be better than Jefferson was with a couple flashes of Mett but the most improvement will be in 2015. That's when we'll play in NOLA again.

Jennings isnt a running QB...but he takes advantage if the defense leaves gaps. He's def got an arm.

The Marietta school board guys here still rave on him, its pretty awesome.

edit: should read isnt a run-first QB

I know Rivers, he was raised about 10 miles from me & I wish him well but I don't think he will ever be the starting QB.

He does a great quarterback sneak over the LEFT side of the line. He's so good at it, the defenses he does it against knows that he is gonna do it and they still can't stop it. Only the refs can stop Jennings.

You must be new to LSU sports. Asking for "meaningful insight" on the Rant is like asking Miles.
Just like the Ranters, in the Spring, Miles will tell you the competition is "Wide Open". Four Quarterbacks are in the competition.

If LSU has to rely on a true freshman QB in Harris next year, I may just skip the season altogether and not even watch.

i don't know that playing Rivers or Jennings is going to be much different. Whoever it is is going to have attempted less than 10 passes in college. and, all of those were against crap teams. and, whoever that QB is will not have OBJ, Landry or Hill.
