The reverse fielding angle of Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball was ahead of its time.

Indeed. And the fake names. I remember the best player was "Nekpir" or Ripken backwards

Double Dwibble - :cuetheStarSpangledBanner:

I played about a 1000 hours of Joe Montana Sportstalk Football on Genesis.

Bulls vs. Blazers was epic. (Nerd Alert - I used to occasionally score my single player games in a basketball scorebook ). That said, I think I enjoyed its oft-forgotten cousin, Team USA Basketball more.

There was an early EA Sports NCAA basketball game that was very fun as well.

NHL 94 was amazing. Pavel Bure and Alexander Mogilny were borderline unstoppable.

FIFA International Soccer was great.

It borders on "vintage", I suppose, but FIFA '98: Road to the World Cup for PS1 was a masterpiece. I still get the sweats when I hear Blur's "Song 2." (WoooooHoooooo!)

Why have you people not mentioned Blitz once?!

"Segway presents...en ef elllll BLITZ!"

ETA: The original came out late 90's so I suppose it's not quite vintage enough for this thread.

NBA Jam is the most rigged game of all time.

Still my favorite though.
