We go to the Cinema Suites at the AMC Dine-In Theatre nearby, so the movie choices are limited..
We can go to
Thor, Bad Grandpa, or Gravity 3-D tonight
Or wait until tomorrow and go see Captain Phillips when it moves over from Fork and Screen to Cinema Suites tomorrow.
Which one should we do?
(Fork and Screen - Regular movie theatre seats that also serve food and liquor
Cinema Suites: Big arse lazy boy reclining chairs that also serve food and liquor)

If you can find a place showing About Time then I suggest you go. From the same people that made Love Actually.

I've only seen Gravity so far and I would recommend seeing it in a theater (not sure it will be good on video). Gravity is probably the closest of those to a date movie

Unless your wife is a comic fan, don't take her to see a Marvel movie.

Gravity is definitely worth the $20

Took my GF to see Thor and we both liked it. She isn't into comics either.

Girls love Padmé so naturally they love Jane Foster too

She must be fantasizing about Hemsworth.

Saw Gravity with my wife and we both liked it.
Saw Thor with the kiddos and we all liked it.
For a date with the wife, go with Gravity.

Gravity 3D just because it's an experience and once it leaves the theaters you will never experience it again.

girls dont give two shits about NP in Thor. They want to see Chris Hemsworth take his shirt off. You could completely cut her out of the movie and 99% of the women in the audience would not give one frick.
as for the OP, went ot both Gravity and Thor with my GF. She liked both but I think you should choose Gravity if its in 3D b/c of how well the effects are done. Odds are you wont have a 3D TV to watch it on when it comes to home video so best to see it now.

I'll go against the grain here. If she has a dirty sense of humor, I highly recommend Bad Grandpa. I laughed my arse off.

Thor and Bad Grandpa will have the same effect on DVD. Gravity will not. It's a film that demands to be seen on the biggest screen you can possibly find. See Gravity. This is the type of movie that theaters were built for.

Went to gravity. Glad I did. Movie was good, but probably better because it was in 3-D. Not sure how much I would have enjoyed it at home.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

And what is so wrong with that?
I actually love Marvel movies though. Not a comic book reader, I just enjoy the movies.
OP....Gravity is def something you really want to see on a big screen. I'm not usually into the whole 3D gimmick, but that is one movie I'm glad I saw in 3D. Go see Gravity first.
Although all the different worlds in Thor are nice to see on a big screen as well.
