Wearing a polo shirt = wearing a Ralph Lauren jersey.

just the jersey itself is just something a little different than the same old same old polos.
Correct. It's just like wearing a polo or a t-shirt, except that it's sort of pathetic and douchey.

I don't get it. What's cash for, if not for settling debts both public and private?

My dad gave me an Aikman jersey for my 19th birthday to mark the new dawning of Dallas football. It was 1989.

I wore it that year to the Superdome and watched Dallas get destroyed 28-0 on opening day.

I wore it to two consecutive Super Bowls that my dad and I attended together.

I've worn it during just about every game since. I wore it today.

But my father is dead now, and all I have are my memories. And the jersey he gave me.

So don't hate. And stop trying to take my father away from me.

Alternately...piss off and quit worrying about what other men wear.

When did the anti-jersey stuff catch fire? All of a sudden, I'm seeing people all over the place hating on this?

Much different when AIkman won multiple super bowls for the Cowboys and will be forever remembered as a Cowboy. Schaub? For a single playoff win? Foster?

These aren't exactly legends we're talking about here.

Also, Aikman was actually playing, right?

Drew Brees =/= Schaub, foster or Cushing.

Drew Brees won a super bowl there, and an MVP if I'm not mistaken. He will also like Aikman be forever remembered as a Saint primarily.

I bought a Robbie Gould Bears knock off jersey in high school because I knew he'd be the kicker for at least a decade. I never wear it because I'm a grown man now, but the idea was good.

So you can only wear jerseys of great players? You're retarded.

Also injuries can't be predicted at the time of jersey purchase

We're poking fun. Dudes wearing jerseys goes in the same pile as dudes wearing eyeliner.

Either a female or gay.

Not that there's anything wrong with either.
