Yeah, that's a problem. Posting on other boards, I'm very accustomed to using spoiler tags, so this board not having them gives the impression that it's a bit of a free-for-all.

Here's another thing, I want to post a theory about the little girl being the killer, but then I realize part of that theory may be taken from the comic, so it gets tricky to actually talk about the subject without alluding to a plot point from the comic even if I'm not mentioning the comic directly.

Its certainly not meant to be a free for all over here. Most of the time, people respect that kinda shite, but it is most prevalent during TWD and GoT threads. The general consensus in the past has been that separate threads were necessary because readers can't not post/speculate without basing their assumptions on the source material, which obviously prevents a problem for people who haven't read anything and just want to consume the show as it airs on TV. Sometimes readers try to "guide" nonreaders into what is coming up, which is also obviously stupid. So separate discussions seem to work best (even though it doesn't completely solve things because some people inherently cannot refrain from posting in their respective threads). It's mainly a problem for these shows because they are so popular. So like if it was just a movie based on a source book/comic, then NBD, should be easy to skip those threads. But when there are episodes every week and threads every week, it's hard to skip those because everyone wants to talk about them.

It's sort of an ongoing battle on this site.

IMO, some people are just ginormous douche bags. I've read some of the comics and it is very, very, very easy for me to not mention anything related to the comics. It isn't hard at all to see a black guy and think "is that Tyrese", but not say it in a thread. It's not that hard to point out every difference between his character in the comic and the show. It's also not hard to just keep my mouth shut about the differences in Shane's characters.

Is it extremely easy to not speculate on the future based on the comics. Why? because the show so far has done things completely different. Even as someone who has read the comics, I have zero thoughts about it when watching the show. The writers have showed a willingness to do things completely different. So, I literally watch the show giving zero thoughts to the comic because I have no expectation that anything will be similar.

I don't expect to see the same characters. And, when they do show up, I don't expect them to do the same things at all.

The comic book spoilers are just douche bags. There's really zero other way to explain it. They are douche bags.

Yeah, I watch the show in the same way (and really enjoy that they're not following the comic for the most part). Mostly though, it's because it has been so long since I've read the comics that I barely remember any details. Other than the one spoiler mentioned before, my theory on another group was based entirely on the progression of the show and the discussion of the hippie guy.

And if it hadn't been for this discussion, I might have posted my theory about the little girl without even realizing that theory has some basis from the comic.

I don't see how. Clearly you didn't just randomly manifest thoughts in your head out of nothing about that; they obviously came from the comics.

We're getting outside of discussing the show at this point. In the future we'll just label the discussion threads as such and proceed from there. At least this season hasn't been AS bad as normal in regards to readers being dicks (it's been bad in the past).

Carol should have stayed with the scientist and burned to death. Her character blows and I'm surprised that she has made it this long.

Obviously it came from the comic, but it was a plot point that I had long forgotten about. And if we hadn't been posting about comic spoilers, I would have just posted my theory without realizing that it had some basis in the comic first.

Anywhos, this season has definitely been picking up with each episode.

I think the little girl burned those two people and Carol knows it and is protecting her. I also think that the will find more burned bodies and rick will know Carol didn't do it. They will go out on a huge search to find Carol and they will find the governor or something.

even though she admitted it i could perceive her as to covering for all parties involved. honestly i don't think there is any way carol could drag two bodies by herself. she isn't strong enough.

i wonder how daryl will take this?

2 questions about the medicine run at the vet college:
1. Why were they so picky about the meds? Take them all and sort them later. If you don't need it for this outbreak, you may need it later. Hell, they want to be farmers, so even stuff not suitable for humans could be useful. Even without the pigs, Michonne was riding a horse.

2. Why didn't they leave the same way they came in? No zombies and they knew the doors weren't chained shut. If they were going out a different way, there should have been a reason (or did I miss something).

Bc both make for bad tv ?

They have to entertain us somehow... if we are picking apart the story, why on Earth was Daryl not paying attention to the road while driving?? He is the most cautious person in the show and now all of a sudden he drives them directly into a zombie horde??

Agreed. Same thing back in season two when they made runs to that pharmacy in town...just take everything you can that could even remotely be useful at some point so that you don't have to keep going back.

I am relatively new to TWD but I definitely think Carol will be back in the future. Someone earlier asked what are the three questions - I'm curious as to what they are also. TIA.

How many walkers have you killed?
How many living people have you killed?
Why did you kill them (the living)?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe that first doorway that there were zombies in was where they came in originally?

Dunno.. that's all I could come up with.

So why didn't the crossbow guy throw the bottle of booze away after he found that the black guy had it? It seems like people getting drunk would be a massive reliability.

(excuse my ignorance, this is my 2nd episode)

The medic should have just told them he took it to use as an antiseptic.

It's for medicinal purposes bitches.

I was expecting the white guy to throw it down among the zombies. I was pretty surprised when he let him keep it, but I'm not familiar with his character other than he looks like the badass of the group.

Huh? She's a relatively fit woman in her late thirties/early forties she could easily drag a body. Pick it up and carry it? No. Drag it? Sure.

The medic had come clean to Darryl earlier in the episode about going on the earlier run to score booze, nt supplies and even felt guilt that he put the bottle back down on the shelf too hard, leading to the whole "raining zombies". Thing. (which Darryl called BS).

SIAP but does anyone know why the hippies were so carefree about the Zombie apocalypse? Drugs, mentally unstable or has their camp been so good that they have no reason to be uptight? That dialogue in the house was pretty strange and it certainly caught Rick and Carol offguard. Thanks

Anyone?
