Miles Seemed Off at Wednesday Presser

I've watched a lot of CLM pressers, and the one word that went thru my mind while watching today's was 'subdued'. He seemed very flat.
One possible cause is the bye week, but watching him makes me think he has not gotten over the Ole Miss loss. It appears to be haunting him.
Hope I'm wrong, because players will certainly pick up on that.

but watching him respond to the one Ole Miss question makes me think he has not gotten over that loss. It appears to be haunting him.

Psshh...I promise you that Ole Miss is the last thing on his mind. He probably is concerned. LSU does not match up well with Alabama this year. This is probably the first time he's seen a talent and experience gap on his squad compared to the opponent since he has been at LSU. He probably foresees 3 in a row against him and the LSU fan base growing even more disgruntled.
ETA: Also, if LSU wins next Saturday, then the Ole Miss game will haunt him.

Could it be that he's sick perhaps? I mean we forget these people that control a big part of our weekly enjoyment (or displeasure) are human too. Maybe he's sick or maybe you're right and he's still getting over two close losses

I think Miles is at that reflective stage of his life coaching and personal wise. He is gonna have to put a lot of energy and time into finishing strong this year and handling next year. His kids are also getting at that stage where they are in competitive sports in HS and college and he would love to spend time watching them as well. Will be interesting to see how he reacts to a big win or big loss to BAMA and/or A&M. He obviously started his family life later than most and may want to enjoy it as he is set financially for life. He does seem more subdued going into the BAMA game than usual, even 10 days out.

Good, when he's cocky, boastful, and arrogant, we usually get beat.

Have you ever seen a presser where Miles didn't seem a little off? That's when you can get worried about him.

Miles has been like that all season because he knows this team is probably going to go 7-5

The Ole Miss game had nothing really to do with coaching. The defense didn't execute and Mett went crazy turning the ball over.
I mean I can understand coaching criticism, but this was just one of those games where the guys just didn't show up.
