Since 1982, Alabama leads the series 16-15-1

I chose 1982 because that was the year LSU broke the curse of the Bear. Prior to the 1982 season, Bear Bryant and Alabama had won 11 straight games against LSU. The 1982 game "restored order" and essentially reset the series. LSU, lead by Alan Risher, Dalton Hilliard and a stifling defense, beat the Tide, 20-10, at Legion Field in Birmingham.
From the 1982 season to last season, the LSU/Alabama series is nearly even, with Alabama leading the series 16-15-1. During that time, LSU is 11-4 when playing at Alabama...as a matter of fact, the home team has only won 8 times out of the 30 games played at a home site.
Let's repeat: since 1982, eleven LSU teams (out of 15) have gone on the road to Alabama and won. Let that sink in...

Nice job; post moar.
The only thing that could make your post better would be a table function, embedded video, and hand bras.

I am very comfortable with our strict no hand bra policy...
now, back on topic...we can do this!

Lends perspective. We're 7-4 since we made good in 2003 and 3-4 since Saban got to Bama. Their success in that six years has been unparalleled, but it isn't like they've owned us.
Good stuff. They're damn strong this year, but I'll hold out hope for a big upset.

take away the mulligan and the series is tied and 9-3 since 2000.
Hope this year is a continuation of tough play in Tuscaloosa because it will really be tough this year.

I think this is the most interesting stat of the series. I bet there aren't too many other rivalries that can say this.

time for another 2003-2007 run

So what you're saying is, if we leave out Bamas best years but included their worst years then we only lose by 1. Got it.

Bear Bryant was special. As long as he stays buried it's all cool beans.
