Said they are suing due to the fact that they lost out on a lot of money this past week in not having a game.
just reported on ESPN, working on a link
what the frick? Seriously JSU?
ETA: just though it would be worked out between the two without the need of a suit. sheesh

Have no problem with it. Was expected.

How else are they supposed to get that lost revenue back due to no fault of their own?
Grambling should offer to pay for the damage they caused without making JSU sue.

Expected, justified and reasonable.

I mean I get that, don't get me wrong.
I guess I just assumed that since grambling already have to pay a fine to the league, that if something like this was needed then they would just work it out within the league.
Guess I jsut didn't see a suit coming

Can you imagine if Furman decided not to show up Saturday?
LSU would have to refund $3.6 million for tickets plus all lost revenue for concessions.
I get that JSU doesn't even get 10% of that amount of revenue on a gameday, but it's still money lost.

nah they returned to practice today

Wasn't it homecoming for JSU? Probably some butthurt alumni/donors too.

Ga Tech threatened to sue Cumberland college, & we know how that ended.

What if grumbling showed up and gave Jackson state staff infections, would Jackson state have been happy then

Chokwe Lumba represented Tupac, suing Grambling shouldnt be hard

What do you think LSU would do if Furman would suddenly forfeit their game this week?
Posted on 10/22/13 at 9:49 pm to LSUSoulja08
The link says Jackson State will be seeking "indirect financial losses" on behalf of the city as well. That's a difficult estimate that could be hard to agree upon. Also "plans to pursue litigation" is not the same thing as demanding a trial; it's the first step in bringing the other side to the bargaining table. And a suit preserves their claim.
