Miles is doing what he can

He is the head coach and ultimately bears responsibility but he's doing what he can
- We needed a big name DC, he went out and got one
- We needed a big name OC, he went out and got one
- We needed a real QB, he went out and got the best JUCO player available.
- He's brought in the best recruits we've ever seen.
I believe he's done everything to fix what is glaringly wrong. I don't know what else he should be doing differently. People leaving for the draft early is not his fault. Recruiting 5 star players is always a double edged sword that way.
I'm pissed about the loss, but I just can't blame Miles for all of it. A large part of this is just circumstances after the draft.

Is that why he looks lost on the sidelines this year?

We just need to accept this defense is rebuilding. What could've been....

He is responsibly, but without ANY accountability, what good is responsibility? It means nothing without accountability, and he has ZERO accountability. He loves his family and his job and is rich. Aside from that, he is just fine when we loose. I really believe that. When you are immune from accountability, and even sometimes get contract extensions and raises when you fail, why would you change?

The last couple years he hasn't recruited well enough to replace those guys. Our overall talent level is decreasing yearly.

This is where i fault Miles. He doesn't recruit well on his own team.
But i agree with the rest. BUT it is his fault. LSU played a very wounded team with everything in front of them and the team did not show up. And its not the first time. 1/9

I don't think our recruiting's been as good as it could have been over the past few seasons. Too many big time losses--especially La. boys.

What we need right now is a QUINOA!!

So why didn't FSU suffer from NFL losses?? Plus having a Fr QB?? Or how bout what Saban loses yearly with regards to players AND coaches?? Face it, no excuses work anymore for Miles. He was extremely fortunate to get the gig, and parlayed a full cupboard and more luck into a BCS title. Once the cupboard went 100% to him, and the luck faded, so have the NC. Saban now has a solid foot hold in La for the upper level recruits. The fan base is growing more apathetic yearly toward Miles because he is here for 6 more years. Apathy is worse than losing. And so it begins.

We don't have the defense to be a ground oriented team this year. We played attack mode offense first 5 games. Then since Florida reverted back to same ole same ole. Just plain dumb.

Welter and Martin both disagree..

I can accept getting beat when we take the field focused and prepared in all 3 phases of the game.
I can accept getting beat when I feel that the coaching staff did all they could do to get the team prepared and adapted as best as they could from a coaching perspective to the game on the field.
We weren't focused and prepared last night and we did a pitfyful job of reacting to the Rebs strategy on both sides of the ball.
Everything I described falls squarely on CLM's shoulders.

Somethings amiss. Can't put my finger on it but LSU was embarrassed by Ole Miss yesterday. Think about that.
Every year (except 2011) the team starts strong and begins to crack mid season. Maybe it's competition (we can't say that this year) or maybe the staff isn't getting guys ready for games. I don't know. Something is wrong.

Well...if everyone except him is top notch....then maybe he is the problem?

How come Bama doesn't lose waves of players early to the draft every year? Not trying t be a smart arse - does anybody have a good answer?

He is supposed to recruit back ups that are actually as good as the starters, that used to happen here. It happens at fricking Bama not here anymore.

Cheers to that! I just sent in my résumé to join a board to fix the national debt. My header was "I'll do what I can".

He takes too long to make decisions

Our defense sucks and Mett made stupid mistakes. That's it.
If we gave Hill 25+ carries, we probably would be 7-1 right now.

It's time for a change at DC, the scheme is just not working.
