very disappointing. Not very much Iron Man, complete and total waste of the mandarin, plot was pretty dumb in general.
just bad overall.....boooo to you shane black.

one of the worst movies ive seen in a long time. wouldve turned it off if i wasnt on a plane

I just watched it two weeks ago. I saw the general disdain for it back during the summer and figured I'd probably enjoy since expectations were low.
Not good.
Spoilers
I will say I enjoyed Kingsley once they pulled the curtain on the Mandarin gimmick.

I get what they were going for with the whole Tony Stark is the real asset angle, not his suits, but it still would have been nice to see at least a little vintage Iron Man arse kicking. It was fricking lame that he didn't have one fully powered, functional suit in the movie. Some of the jokes and one liners were just terrible also. The thing with The Mandarin stinking up the bathroom, then those girls running in an going "ewww" was so, so stupid

I have never seen any of the Iron Man movies.

I watched this again with the wife the other day (She had not seen it) and I thought "maybe it wasn't as bad as I remember it". I was dead wrong, it was worse.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. The entire ending was a complete mess. And say what you want about the Marvel movies: this one reminded me of the original Hulk movie. You spent the majority of an Iron Man movie with no Iron Man.
I'm assuming they will figure out some way to get him another suit prior to Ultron.

frick, I was this close to starting a thread the other day about how much better I thought it was after a rewatch. Glad I didn't
Still think it is easily the weakest of the MCU. I caught IM1 on FX the other days and it's crazy how bad the sequels are compared to it.

I dont get the hate for Iron Man 2. I enjoy it and will watch it any time its on.
Sure, it has obvious plot issues and a really convenient villain fight at the end. But its far from the worst offering in the MCU.

Worst movie ever marvel put out.
I paid money to see badass iron man, not fricking emo and sensitive tony stark.

I didnt mind the plot device of Tony having serious anxiety issues after the Battle of New York. I mean, Tony made the decision to sacrifice his life and was saved by a split second feat of gravity.
But, I'd liked to have seen him have a "Mavericks re-engaging" moment rather than the really bizarre nonsense that happened.

The trailers and Kingsley's narration made me so pumped for IM3...then I saw it and realized I wasted my money on hot garbage.

I don't hate it at all (or IM3 for that matter).
I just feel like they both really pale in comparison on the first one.

The problem was that it was way overdone and excessive on that angle.

I think that's why I hated it even more.
And yeah I kept waiting for him to come back and start kicking arse. Nope just a bunch of suit malfunctions and then let pepper get the kill. Also, an army of suits should have probably been able to kill all of those super soldier cats in about 2 minutes.

Lost interest after the second one

The plot sucked, I kept wondering "why is this entire thing happening?" but I liked all the tech and effects as well as RDJ as witty as ever.
