@Specs_Beer_Dept: Pumpkinator is gone from Spec's Downtown...came and went in 39 minutes

My buddy that works for SA was over here working their kegs at the tailgate this weekend and asked me to get him one. Said it was probably the only way he'd get one.

That sounds really really interesting.

Tasted a bit like white, or grape, wine/juice with a slight peppery finish. If you see it, I'd give it a try, but don't go out of your way looking for it.

It's definitely the best mead that I've tried though.

they apparently don't understand them in west texas either. it has been at our specs since the middle of last week. picked up two bottles last thursday. this is my first year trying it, and i can't say that i will be seeking it out in the future...i thought i was just ok.

They made a ton. It shouldn't be too hard to find over the next day or two. The HEB I went to had 20+ cases. They weren't even going to set a limited until some douche came in and bought 2 cases.

Agreed.

I'll probably stop at 4... to age some and drink some.

If someone is buying 2 cases it has to just be as trade bait.

I'm a SA fan but pumkinator just doesn't do it for me. I can't believe people are buying multiple cases of it.

My beer bucket list trips:

1. Hill Farmstead (plus Allagash, Alchemist, and Maine beer co)
2. 8thyear's Cellar
2. GABF
3. Pliny the Younger

Doing a golf/beer trip to Portland and Bandon Dunes would be badass too.
