Wrestling mats are also a source ripe with MRSA. It basically needs a break in the skin for a port of entry. It's not surpising that a few players on a team get infected

Even microscopic organisms are trying to get the team rebuilt.

dated a girl in college that got MRSA on her lower butt cheek. she ran track and it was going around the weight room (so she claimed).
anyway, they cut out a round chunk of flesh from her arse and I had to clean it out with a q-tip twice a day

IF they didn't play the game, I'm guessing it wouldn't be made up, correct?

If you ever know of someone with MRSA or any staph infection. Tell them to get some raw honey. It will clear that shite out in a week or two.
My brother had staph twice this year. After 2-3 days with honey it was drying up like nothing.
Reason it works is because honey is a natural antibiotic that is way too complex for staph to fight against. Manuka Honey works best for MRSA.

@AdamSchefter: NFLPA tells @wingoz that, depending on what MRSA containment report says, the NFLPA could advise Bucs-Eagles not to play this weekend.

They should just give the Eagles the win, but give Vick some staph

Best trojan horse troll of all time:

MRSA is an acronym for methicillin-resistant staph aureus. This is a pathogen, not the infection itself, therefore individuals can actually be exposed to MRSA and not actually get an infection from it.
I'm a physician assistant with the Marine Corps. Years ago we would see it all of the time at our clinic, until we implemented practices to control it. It seems ridiculous in this age of medicine that things like this are still happening. The Bucs health care providers are completely at fault for this.

Bucks need to get rid of their whole staph

They just need to send that dumpster fire of a franchise somewhere else. Let USF keep Ray Jay

This happens in mma all of the time. How hard is it to properly clean shite?

Marines are required to undergo 5 chlorhexidine washes during their boot camp phase here in SD. We've seen infection rates plummet since instituting this practice. This is several hundred people we're talking here. Their entire team needs to be disinfected several times over the course of the football season and their facilities thoroughly cleaned. It's not enough to do one or the other.

You know a dumpster fire would be preferable over what they have now, because at least then they wouldn't have staph.
