I'm but a mere mortal, and unlike many ranters I'm not blessed with coach-vision. To me Landry has made so many incredible catches that even though he's not as physically dominant as some prolific receivers he's better than anyone I've seen this year. I'm looking to the Rant to fill me in on the guys who are better than Landry. Thanks much!

depends on what you are looking for and what you want.

Evans is awesome but I want landry on my team any day of the week. Dude is so solid. He catches everything, not afraid of going over the middle, solid route runner. I could go on

There's not a receiver on another team that I would pick over Landry. He's amazingly strong, runs great routes, makes amazing catches.

He plays with so much heart.

Kid is awesome. Glad he and OBJ are Tigers.

I really dig Sammy Watkins games though.

All of the above, PLUS, he is not afraid to afraid to lay the wood when blocking down field. I catually like that aspect of his game better than the route running and great catches.

Most of y'all have backed up what I thought which is cool - even though Evans is a powerful physical presence I'd still rather have Landry who I've never seen a ball come towards him which was too hard to catch! He sort of reminds me of a more athletic Welker.

Sammy Watkins and Marquise Lee are better. Just more talanted and overall better players. Mike Evans is much much bigger and wins so many battles based on size alone. Depends what you are looking for but I'd love either, I give slight edge to Evans though. Jordan Matthews and Moncrief are also people I'd throw out there, both great wideouts but neither are really similar to Landry so hard to say who is necessarily "better".

Sammy Watkins, Rashad Greene, Mike Evans, and Marquis Lee are all legit, and probably have a better case at WR than Landry.

And, of course, Odell too.

I'm glad you can read my mind, so what's full of shite about it? It shows he's not afraid to get dirty even when the play is not designed to go through him, a great sign of an unselfish player.

He's a beast blocking downfield, and underrated and unnappreciated aspect of his game. It's also something NFL team look at closely.

Beckham is badass but compared to Landry he has stupid hands (like Fry from Futurama!)

All very true but the part about you liking that more than his great catches is bullshite. No one cares if you can block if you aren't making catches.

Some of the catches Beckham makes with his hands this season are sick. He doesn't have a drop problem this season. (Passes.. not punts) Even Landry had one last season so you can't hold that against either of them.

Beckham makes some nasty catches with his hands above his head most guys couldn't make.

Landry may not be the best WR on his own team.

Still a great player though!
