I still have respect for what he did for LSU, b/c of him we've had the greatest run in the programs history....but saying that means I have his "junk" in my mouth.

Let's not forget that Paul Dietzel left LSU for Army after a National Title.....and no one hated him!

Makes sense because you probably are one of those who leaves before halftime.

Leaving is one thing. Leaving for another job, failing, and then taking a job at a hated school in the same division is another. The praise we had for Saban, he earned. The hatred we have for Saban was earned entirely by Saban. The Nick Saban we knew and loved died the minute he signed the dotted line at Tuscaloosa. No matter the reason that he took the Alabama job, he still took the Alabama job. And for that, he deserves all hatred we can possibly provide. I wish him, and every coach of every Alabama team until the end of time, the worst.

They might not have "hated" him, but the "I'll never leave LSU" statement morphing into the "I always wanted to coach for Army" (paraphrasing) statement left a lot of the old timers pretty pissed.

There are a million reason to hate Saban and leaving for Miami is NOT one of them. I hate the mans guts but leaving has nothing to do with it.

Had Les left I would have wished him well. It is not that. It is not going to alabama. He took what was available.

A shite ton of fans hate him for that but that is wrong.

One reason all fans should hate him is because he left town and then notified is assistant coaches via email that they would never see him again!

Another is the dumb arse actually said (to himself would have been fine) that he he thought he might be making a mistake taking the LSU job. Why the hell would you put that out there before you even coach day one?

The list is long that is just a couple of the minor reasons.

Very well said. I fully appreciate what he did here. I can also understand the man wanting to return to college football after the NFL. But he and his supporters must also understand that now he does everything in his power to deny LSU championships by trying to bring them to Bama. Our present hatred is as deserved as our past admiration.

This. I'd boo myself hoarse. At this point he's cost us more titles than he got.

He left us Almost ten years ago. I'm over it. I would not boo him if he came to honor the 2003 team.

Obviously a planted question. He probably wanted to say I wish they would have done it on a week I didn't have a game. Tough shite Nicky. You can go to the next one when you are done coaching.

I can appreciate what he did for LSU but from my perspective there are 118 other CFB coaching jobs that would not have been as bad as the one he took. I am also of the opinion that he knew exactly how LSU fans would feel about it and he did it anyway. So. frick that dirty little selfish midget whore.
