Some thoughts on Beckham and Landry

FIRST, Who would you take if you are an NFL team? OR, What team(s) do you think each one would excel with?

Are they Saints? Beckham could be a bit like Lance Moore possibly... but not exactly how I see them.

Pittsburgh for Beckham???

Anyway,

Interesting DUO

BECKHAM: Started great as a freshman, had a bit of a sophomore slump, Now back to being great

Landry: Started slow, wondered where he was as a freshman as he had less than 10 receptions, and Beckham was tearing it up, showed some things to come as a sophomore, like Beckham has it together as a Junior

BECKHAM: A bred, a thoroughbred, Son of two accomplished athletes, went to Newman in New Orleans and more than likely had all he could want as far a training and nutrition.

Beckham the big city, engineered athlete

LANDRY: Center of the River Parishes, from a rather poverished area. Kind of in the likes of Jerry Rice and Walter Payton.

Landry the hard working, small town-country athlete.

BOTH GREAT TIGERS!

He had a broken foot.

In terms of NFL readiness Landry is ahead of Beckham by a good margin. If I was a GM I would have Landry ranked 2nd-3rd round and OBjr 5th-6th. Beckham could use an extra year to develop his concentration. Landry is NFL ready for the slot. Elite speed doesn't matter. Because his route running, hands, and physicality is very elite

While we didn't have this passing game, Landry was lighting people up on kickoffs as a true freshman.

Did y'all know that both of these guys have big hands?

Bet you also didn't know that Herman Johnson was the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana.

OBJ would offer a pro team the added benefit of returning punts, but i like Landry better as a pro. He's got that nasty streak that WRs need.
