Alfonso Cuaron. Emmanuel Lubezki. That should be enough said.
Who are those people? This movie has Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in it. They cast a liberal in this movie. A fricking LIBERAL. Can you believe that shite? I will not be seeing this.

So is this one you should see in 3D?
IMO it would be a disservice to see it in anything other than IMAX3D.

Even good actors/filmmakers make bad movies.
And I'm not saying this is going to be it, I'm simply saying the trailer is boring. It didn't grab me and make me want to see the film.
They float off into space, you usually don't come back from that.
You ever think they don't want to show the majority of the movie in the trailer?
They want you to know the very basics of what its about. All of the commercials on TV recently for it have been very very good.

No, they haven't.

People bitch that some trailers show too much. This one shows you just enough to get what the movie is about and people still bitch. fricking amazing.

Maybe. But I LOATHE 3D. It's overpriced and it gives me a headache.

Yeah, they are.
And where the hell are Durantula, MrMiyagi, etc. A gravity thread is like their catnip.

Being ultra liberal helps, I'm sure, but his work has been universally praised. But 98% is ridiculously high.
I really, really, really, hate to break this to you but most of Hollywood "ultra-liberal" so this really doesn't make any sense. Honestly, I feel slightly less intelligent for even entertaining this thought.
Also he was been in plenty of movies that bombed. Just to name a few:
- The Men Who Stare at Goats
- Leatherheads
- The Good German

what else could there be? go out in to space and nearly lose your grip 50 times. so exciting

Well don't forget the amazing CGI. Because clearly that's what makes a movie any good.

Yup! You got it! That's what 98% of critics are collectively jizzing their pants over. Sandra Bullock losing her grip repeatedly for 91 minutes.

I'm not complaining about the plot or whatever in the trailer - it's just it demonstrates the level of cartoonish, fakey looking CGI which pervades big budget films now.
I'm not going to knock the content of this film without seeing it (Bullock and Clooney are excellent actors), but how could Stanley Kubrick make a more realistic looking space film in the late 1960s than all of Hollywood's horsepower in the 21st Century? It's because he constructed 3 dimensional sets that existed in the real world and photographed those sets with cameras. And they had to be creative about concealing this fact, so they were - Kubrick, Lucas (of the 70s/80s), Ridley Scott were all masters of this and it helps to suspend disbelief.
If the trailer of Gravity represents how the space scenes look - it might as well have been a 3D cartoon with voice actors.

The trailer in IMAX 3D that played before Man of Steel was amazing. I was hooked from that. Even if you're not a fan of 3D, the added depth it gives this movie is ridiculous. I hope the entire movie lives up to the high hopes I have for it.

$75 for a 3dIMAX experience sounds amazing.

To add , one can only assume that there's more to it than bullock screaming as she's floating away and clooney lassoing her back 34 times.

What's the best IMAX theater in NOLA to check this out on? Looking like my only options are Clearview and Elmwood.

Maybe for a family of 3...

This is TD. Price is of no concern to anyone.

So apparently they added sound effects to the trailer to make it appear more exciting. The movie itself will actually be accurate and depict no sound in space.

Did you produce this movie or something? Why are you getting so angry?
