In an interview with Gilligan, when asked about what happens next with Jessie, he says its up to the viewer. He something about it's just as possible as him getting pulled over by the cops when leaving, as it is him getting away free and starting over. To me, that says the box scene was a flashback, or a daydream, but not a flash forward.

He also said "the romantic in me wants to believe he got away and made it to Alaska" so I'll go with that one

in the finale they cut it to just the "52 bacon" part bc they've already shown you the rest.

i took that scene strictly as a daydream and the chains yank him back to reality. it seemed fairly obvious but that's just me.
in a finale that went out of its way to tie up loose ends and leave little to the imagination i'm totally ok with Jesse securing his freedom with his whole life ahead of him.

Yeah I didn't forget that scene, just didn't remember if the original scene established whether or not he was in New Mexico during it

Also, it was a call hangup, after saying he was heisenberg. No way they even knew for sure it was him. Marie even said they were getting calls locally from people with different voices.

Yeah they probably didn't haveva good idea until they talked to the bartender and found out the car was stolen. He was long gone by that point

Yeah, it's also a callback to Jesse's therapy sessions, when he talked about the box he built in shop class that he sold to buy weed. It's a daydream back to when he was happy, before he ever got into the drug trade. Be a f'n carpenter, bitch.
I actually didn't like the call with Lydia, as I felt it was too on the nose. The series has always been real good about expecting us to keep up, and it was clear from the coffee scene that Walt poisoned her. I would've extremely hated further future tags of what happens. It's way too on the nose. The story ends with Walt's death. It had to. The Schwartz's will go through with the trust because it's not worth the risk not to. Skyler and Marie will reconcile because they are sisters, but they will always be hostile because they are sisters. Jesse will do something else... but that is a different story.

I can see this. It didn't really add anything to the story or give us any further closure. I think they could have done better with that minute or however long it was.
I'm not sure why they decided to make it a point that Lydia was poisoned and going to die. We already knew that.
ETA what would I have added? I think some shots of marie/skyler/walt jr/jesse at the end while walt is in the lab could have been powerful...

yeah i'm with you. at the same time i think both her scene and jesse strangling the life out of the FNL kid was a total candy throw to fans.i would've been ok either way. however walt has a way of wanting you to know he beat you so...

I've seen rumors that there will be a spin off based around Saul Goodman. Not sure how that would play with fans though.

I liked the phone call. They've teased us with the ricin since season 2, it was great to finally see it used and to see its effects on a victim.

They didn't. They bought Walt out for 5k. Walt voluntarily sold his share because Flynn had just come along and needed the money.

with the way he interacts with Gretchen at dinner, the flashbacks, and what he goes on to become...I think we all know there has to be more to the story than just that....

jr breakfast scene..in direct contrast to the walt 52 scene would have been nice
also i would have loved to seen saul working at cinnabon or sbarro while the end credits were rolling

No, took a total shot in the dark there. Walt said himself they didn't screw him he screwed himself. He acts like that because he's jealous of what he could have had.
