Damn I did not expect it to come during the season.

How do you know he was fired in an unprofessional way? How do you know what transpired between Haden and Kiffin?

So can we say that the way Kiffin got the news was very fitting and he got a dose of his own medicine?

The timing was one thing. But he tried to convince UT's committments to visit USC, did not bother to tell his players goodbye; rather, he bolted out the back door of the administration building after giving UT's AD the news. When you're talking bout LK, it's the whole package of what he is as a coach & a person that you need to take into consideration.

We talk a lot about Kiffin's unprofessional antics at Tennessee, but he also burnt bridges with lies and deflections in Oakland.

I'm inclined to think that Kiffin was in the process of throwing his USC assistants under the bus, and Haden chose to take care of the problem directly.

I'll bet it was far more than on field performance.

No thanks, Orgeron's a nutjob. A friend of mine had an altercation with him at an NSU-ULM game one time. My friend was wearing a ULM sweater and Orgeron got all up in his face and wanted to fight him.

Maybe he can go pump Alshon Jeffrey's gas now.

Yeah that really doesn't make sense. Kiffin isn't a good coach by any means, but Orgeron was one of the worst head coaches of all time.

I think that Kiffin is now on this list as well, of a major program at least.

there's a lot of unwarranted Lane Kiffin hate in here. it seems like the popular thing to do is hate on him for whatever the reason may be. he took over a program that got smashed by the NCAA. he was doomed from the beginning. it was just a terrible decision by him to take the job when there was a lot of smoke.

kiffin will bounce back. he's only 38 and has reached the mountain top in the types of job he's gotten. he will bounce back more humble the next time.

What has he ever done to deserve praise? There are a ton of obnoxious things he's done along the way.

I don't think he should have been pulled off the bus to be fired but he didn't earn a shot at a job like USC, he was there when the violations took place in the first place, he knew they were in danger of getting hammered, and he left UT with less grace than a hooker exiting a mini-van

The man has demonstrated little or no loyalty during his stints as head coach and finally received the same treatment

This +1000

People hated Kiffin long before SC. The way he handled himself with the Raiders, his overall doucheness in Knoxville and the way he falls arse backwards into good jobs in spite of having accomplished absolutely nothing is plenty of reason to hate the slimy bastard.

The fact that Alshon is having such a great day for the Bears the day Kiffin gets fired amuses me greatly.
