Your personal vendetta against Peyton Manning is obviously blinding your true opinion of him.

However, having noticed that you are a member of the Florida Gator fan base, I guess it makes perfect sense for you to continue blatantly hating on the guy for whatever reason you can bring up.

he trusted Wayne to finish the route. But yes, great play by Tracey. Watch Wayne pull up short. It was indeed a half-arse route by Wayne.

dude Peyton is a freak, but that ball shouldn't have been thrown. He just trusted the play call too much and didn't think Porter would call it. It happens.

Porter said he knew the play before they got to the line of scrimmage. He read Peyton like a book.

Was that a poor attempt at a troll? I sure hope so.

Statistically speaking it's hard to argue. Based on raw talent I'd say he probably is... that said his playoff record is around .500ish. Of course there's more to that than the quarterback and the Colts never surrounded him with a ton of talent.

Joe Montana. If you want an explanation, look up his playoff gamelogs.

That is all I need to contribute to this thread.

The only goat position player currently playing is Ed Reed.

And who is a better TE in NFL history than Tony Gonzalez?

Your argument is invalid.

There was a man open in the middle. PM missed him.

Still, the ball might not have been intercepted and definitely not returned for 6 if Wayne had been hustling.

PM actually had a great SB aside from that one play.

Brady can't sniff Peyton Manning. There really isn't much of a comparison. Brady was a "good" QB up until Moss and Welker landed in his lap in 2007.

Manning has always been phenomenal no matter the players, the offensive schemes or the teams. Manning IS the common thread of his own success. Brady can't say that.

wut? If you're bringing college into this he could never win the big one when it mattered

Again, one man can't carry an entire team. You have to look at what Manning did. For UT, he is the all time leader in TD passes, yards in a single game, and yards per season. He's also in the top 3 historically in the SEC for career passing yards and touchdowns. To say he wasn't a great college quarterback, as well, is just denial.

As much as I wish it were an LSU QB in those numbers, let's give credit where it's due. He was almost as good in college as he is in the NFL.

I never said he wasn't a great college quarterback. But the person I was responding to said he has won everywhere he's played, and said UT. And I objectively stated that he was notorious for coming up short against his biggest opponents in college. I have no agenda for or against Peyton as the GOAT.

I swear, MythBusters should do an episode on this.
