Yea, also knew your brother, ML. Your secret is safe with me. Nice to have some Elmore County baws on the board.

That picture must have been taken 469 donuts, 309 cheeseburgers, 115,826 fries and 100 pounds ago. Bret Bielema was actually almost not fat.

Also, I wish analysts would stop mocking Byron Cowart in the first or second round. He would go undrafted as things stand.

I have seen Byron Cowart listed in mock drafts as well. He would likely go undrafted at this point in his career based on play. Makes me think this might go by recruiting ranking in some way.

re: Who benefits the most from a post Saban SEC?

Auburn and LSU both benefit.
Auburn gets more in-state players, and LSU keeps a lot of their in-state players that have been getting away since Nick Saban arrived at Alabama.
In general, Alabama will still have an extreme amount of success after Nick Saban leaves no matter who they hire. See, Miami under Larry Coker. For how long, though, remains to be seen. I would still consider them a National Title contender 2-3 years after Nick Saban moves on no matter who is hired. The cupboard is full.

I really liked Tennessee's draft. They are in prime position to be one of the darkhorse candidates to make a deep playoff run. I think they are a few defensive players away from being a top 3 AFC team.

He is by far the most talented quarterback on roster.
Better than both Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch.

quote:He is mediocre at best as it stands. A lot of his deficiencies were masked through wide receiver screens and pop passes, which was a great set-up by Lane Kiffin. He struggled to throw the ball downfield. Alabama won in spite of him down the stretch, and he ultimately killed the offense in the biggest game of the year.
Hurts isn't a very bad passer.
Getting away from the bad, his running ability is rare and should continue to be taken advantage of. He is a tough player and rarely loses his cool. He is mature beyond his age for sure.
