I know this subject has been :beatdeadhorse: for a long time, but I was just watching the replay on YouTube, LSU, 1st and goal from the 2, 1:06 left on the clock. The give to Blue, no gain, or a 1 yard loss. The clock ran from 1:06 to 24 seconds before the 2nd down play was run, give to Hilliard, stopped. Time out 15 seconds left, 3rd and goal, delay of game coming out of the timeout, incomplete pass, helmet flies, 4th down 5 seconds left.

These coaching blunders against an Alabama, Florida, or Georgia will possibly cost us a season.

These "Scratch your head" moments from Les Miles are what pisses fans off. His record speaks for itself, he is a great coach, a good man, and an even better recruiter, but his game/time management skills also speak for themselves.

Fans get called negatigers for complaining about these bonehead coaching mistakes, Blast away at me, but I speak the truth, his game/time management decisions could cost this talented team a BCSC

Never going to see a perfect game. I'm happy if 90% goes right.

The clock management was actually good. I'm sure the coaches and most fans wanted to score a TD, but how can you complain with 3 points while leaving TCU with no chance to score. Keep in mind, TCU had already returned a kickoff for a touchdown earlier in the game.

The delay of game is inexcusable, but what's wrong with the clock management? LSU put points on the board and didn't give TCU the chance to return a kick or run a play. Seems like a pretty good job of managing the clock to me.

WOW!! Thanks BGSB for that insightful and original assessment of the state of the LSU program. I ewspecially like the fact that you pointed out that LSU can't make mistakes against Alabama, Florida, Georgia (who as we all know are far superior to LSU and never make mistakes) and win. That point alone is what separates you from the average rantard. Huzzah to you.

Throwing an pass on third down, which was incomplete thereby stopping the clock with just enough time left to get a field goal kicked is truly a dumb mistake. LSU should have kicked that field goal with 60 seconds left. That would have given time to get a kick off in and maybe let TCU get a run back for a TD which we all know would have been a good thing. That would have made for a more exciting game wouldn't it?
Thanks so much for being the first to point that out to us.

This is a classic example of a SUPER tard trying to shoehorn a series of events into the narrative he wants to believe in.

You probably don't know anything about anything, but I can't attest to that. All I know is you don't know ANYTHING about football!!

good post.
how'd you feel about lm wearing a jacket during the game?

what did you really feel about the new uniforms?

do you have feelings about les not running out on the field w/ the team?

I know you could find lots of other things to post about. please keep posting. very reflective of your intelligence and age. you must be very smart and mature. don't let these old fogies get in the way of showing your wisdom.

Not sure how the clock went from 1:06 to 0:24. There is a 25 second play clock so I doubt your times are accurate.

Miles has had clock issues since his ok state days. I've given up on anything changing and just brace myself for it every week. Every coach/ team has weaknesses and that is ours.

Do you have any idea how unbelievably stupid it sounds when you say this:

quote:

These "Scratch your head" moments from Les Miles are what pisses fans off.

Followed by:

quote:

His record speaks for itself, he is a great coach, a good man, and an even better recruiter,

So do you want a disciplinarian who can't fricking win? I'm sure old fat frick from Kansas is available. Maybe we could hire that new fat frick they have, Charlie Weiss.

So you are suggesting that LSU score as quickly as possible on a 1st and goal, when you are going to run 4 plays max generally?

Really?
