Coleman tailgating grill

Anyone use one of these?
We usually bring a old smokey charcoal grill and it does great, but I was thinking of adding this to the lineup.

We have a couple of them. They work great, and they're very convenient. Drawbacks are that the lids aren't very tall, so it's tough to cook anything that you need some height on, and you don't have much surface area if you're cooking for a lot of people.

I think a better investment would be a Weber Q.

Go with the Weber then convert to handle larger gas bottle instead of the screw in cannisters. I have worked the hell out of ours over 12+ years and it is probably the only tailgating item I have never had to replace over the years.

I picked up 2 of these in an impulse buy at the end of last summer for $25 at cvs when they were clearing out the summer stuff for 75% off. It works fine for grilling just about anything, but not for cooking anything that you need to control temps.

It works well as a grill, not good at all for indirect heat. It's quite portable and easy to clean too. Plus you can get an adapter for full size propane tanks.

I had one and I put it to the road after a year of camping. It's awkward and gets everything dirty. I recommend that little weber. He's MUCH easier to clean and haul around. I put a whole butt in a foil pan in there and he held the temp for 4 hours. I think there is more room under there too.
