95 pages is a lot and may be a "meltdown"...but look at the other side of the coin - How passionate Tiger fans are about wanting this guy to come in and be a LSU TIGER.
Saying just three letters, Cam could cause this and several other message boards to shut down from all the excitement.
He makes his mom happy and becomes a hero of the state not only for choosing LSU but spurning bama. He makes his mom happy. He honors he loyalty of the people who have recruited him for four years. He has just as good a chance to win a national championship and make it to the NFL.
I hope he thinks long and hard about every aspect of the decision. It's hard to beat Picking LSU !

A non-point. We're right next door to Texas, why would we spend time and resources in Alabama, which has 2 major SEC schools in it?

Still, why has it never happened? You would think LSU could pull at least one stud 5* from bama over the years, right? Whether we recruit hard there or not. I know we don't recruit the north hard and we've pulled stud recruits from yankeeland, right?
eta: but to your point, shouldn't it make it harder for bama to recruit here being LSU is the flagship school (and only SEC school) of our state?
