When I played we all got the "slap". It was no big deal. We turned out OK.

Yeah these slaps are painless. It's more to get your attention. But whatever. People want to freak out over everything. Sure.

Agreed. You don't slap people like that.
You mean the slap on the helmet that I guarantee the kid didn't feel but only heard because he was WEARING A frickING HELMET.
Good Lord. My coaches slapped me all the time when I played football. It gets your attention and nothing more. He's not trying to hurt the kid because he knows it doesn't hurt. People are pussies.

the people who will defend it are the ones who got slapped themselves. they use it as a way of justifying what happened to them as OK.

And if the kid pushed the coach, they'd be calling the kid a thug pos.

It probably hurt the coach more than the kid.
Ready for coaches and teammates slapping players butts to get called out for abuse. Same with chest bumps.

is any physical mistreatment of a minor by an adult. did getting hit by your coach too many times lessen your ability to read a dictionary?

Running laps for dropping passes is also physical mistreatment. Arrest all the coaches across America

My high school's head coach used to grab kids by the facemask and drag us up and down the sidelines when we fricked up. Of course that was twenty years ago and I did play for a Louisiana coaching legend. He would never be allowed to do that kind of thing today. The pussification of America continues. And the beat goes on....

I sure hope he is trolling.
Would one of the people who think this is abuse tell me if this would be considered physical abuse or mental abuse?

quote:Yep. Coaches will continually be pussies and occasionally slap kids in this stupid, pussy manner. What a pussy arse coach.
The pussification continues.

This is not even news worthy. That shite goes on every day in practice. It's football not ballet.
