What are some unresolved plot lines from TV shows or movies that still bug you to this day?

Maybe the show got prematurely cancelled or a movie set up a sequel that never came, or perhaps the writers just decided to drop an entire story arc because they either wrote themselves into a corner or just didn't have time to resolve it.

Probably will contain spoilers obviously but try to keep it at a minimum.

- I still want to know what the hell was up with Walt being special on LOST.

- Around the 6th season of The Office there was some stuff with Dwight secretly recording Jim and forming an alliance with Ryan trying to get Jim fired. Nothing really came of that. Also what ever happened to the plot line about Dwight owning the building?

- In one of the later (terrible) seasons of HEROES, Peter travels into the future and leaves his girlfriend there never to be heard from again.

WTF happened to the McCoys in Friday Night Lights? They were HUGE parts of the plot, then just vanished.

The season 2 finale of Reaper left a lot of questions that never got answered because the show was cancelled.

Sam was going to beat the Devil in the quarters rematch but Steve broke his hand. Why? What good can come from the Devil owning both Sam and Andi's souls?

There could probably be a whole thread dedicated to this in The West Wing, although they did tie up a few ends in the last few episodes

the writers for Dexter?

Did they all just go on a coke binge in Mexico (and never come back) halfway through the series run?

This is from Yahoo answers:
quote:

THE OFFICE: What happened to Dwight's diabolical plan?

At the end of the episode "Scott's Tots" Ryan goes up to Dwight and they talk about Dwight's diabolical plan to get Jim fired. They formed an alliance, but I feel like there hasn't been anything in the past episodes about it and I thought that there would be...

quote:

The alliance is over. When Sabre bought Dunder Mifflin Kathy Bates character made them end the co-manager job that Dwight was plotting to take away from Jim. Jim was originally given the title of manager because Michael wanted the higher salary sales commissions would give him. But then he missed his big office and the manager perks. Jim also didn't like being manager because he wanted the higher sales commissions too. So when they switched jobs Ryan and Dwight claimed credit for getting Jim demoted and there was no further need for the alliance. Also the bit about Dwight peeing in a soda bottle was from season five I think. The second episode called business ethics.

As for Dwight being the building owner, nothing "happened" to that I don't believe...he was just still the owner.

The show Alphas was cancelled after 2 seasons, but season 2 ended in a huge cliff hanger. It even became a joke in the Big Bang Theory when Sheldon tracked down the writer of the show to find out what happens.

The "good" T-1000 who brought young John Connor to the future, in Sarah Connor Chronicles. Plus I liked Cersei as Sarah Connor.

Why did Book have so much sway with the Alliance in Firefly?
