Of course it was. And he wouldn't be able to hit the damn tank with that monster coming right at his arse even it would explode
It's still one of my fav movies ever but geesh. Almost as bad as shark2 biting into the damn electric line- please
I always thought they should have let the shark(s) win in the end

yea, like when that dude had his heart pulled out and it was still beating and he was still alive and then when he was lowered into the fire, the heart experienced spontaneous combustion!!!
At least that was some sort of religious ceremony thing. And like I said, suspension of belief is required for the IJ movies...lots of weird things happen in that universe. Ahd shite, most of them are at least cool. But KotCS had FAR too many to just be like "Okay, whatever...I can buy that."
What kills me is that most people hate the fridge/nuke thing. That one was the most believable to me...it's just that after that we got crazy mutated ants running as fast as humans and building towers to chase people and devouring people whole in ten seconds, sword fights atop vehicles speeding through the jungle, Shia TheBeef swinging on vines with monkeys fast enough to catch up to those vehicles, a truck driving straight down three waterfalls with zero repercussions, etc. It was just one super ridiculous thing after another for two+ hours.
ETA: In this same regard, 2012 has a LOT of bullshite things like this too.

I agree with what you said. The IJ movie wasn't lost at the fridge scene, but 40 events later, it was a disaster.
It didn't help that each waterfall was Victoria Falls too.

And the other plane.
And the RV.
Etc.
There were like at least five instances of "we have to speed up and hurry before the _______ underneath us collapses (ground, runway, etc.)."

All the creatures in "Avatar" have six limbs and breathe out of their shoulders except for the blue, cat people. Seems like pretty big change in body plan if you were to consider evolution and such.

Indy using the raft as a parachute and surviving is still the craziest damn thing I have ever seen in a IJ movie.

yea, it was just as absurd as the second half of Prison Break season 2 that I just finished

I think they land through some scaffolding planks, down a trash chute and then the ground. His son gets a piece of rebar in his abdomen and continues on with the mission.
Its hard to remember all the fall scenes. They fall from the roof through glass into a pool and John gets tossed from a spiraling helicopter through glass.
Terminators went through less and came out with more scratches.

The fast and the furious franchise officially jumped the shark with the boat landing scene in the second movie.
