Allen Iverson will officially announce his retirement in the coming days, according to SLAM Magazine.

One of my favorite players to watch. This guy was a true underdog in every sense of the word.

This is about 4-5 years overdue.

He could have hung on as a contributor with an NBA team, but his inability to accept that his body was breaking down on him shite-canned that.

Yes, I'm sure his retirement will be to much fanfare He couldn't even get picked up the last two years. He was a stud in his heyday though.

True underdog... Had to deal with being born with superhuman athleticism and speed... Must have been tough to weed through all those scholarship offers for multiple sports
