Hammond claims/ed he is a relative of Victor but has stated he is both the cousin and uncle of Craig.

Zona was a lock a couple weeks ago but it leaked. Hammond came here hyping that it isn't over. Even popped in just before the decision saying something about "it hasn't been announced don't worry..." Victor went on to pick Arizona.

The consensus is that Victor used the last 2 weeks to bring attention to his commitment by using LSU instead of just going with Arizona which is what he was going to do all along (an Arizona site already had an interview prepared)

So either

A) Hammond is a liar and didn't know anything about the situation at all or

B) Trolled all of us by making us think LSU had a chance

And I think Johnny is doing well with recruiting. Can't get em all I guess.

When the info came out a few days ago that LSU might have a real shot at Victor he posted that a decision had been made with a few exclamation points. Nothing concrete but because he's an LSU fan most assumed it was good news.

yeah, i guess just saying he wanted to go to arz without any drama just wouldn't have given him the attention he and others like him yearn for.

The "he went to the place where he had would be given the best shot to get to the NBA" is always a crappy argument. NBA scouts can find their way to BR just as easily as they can to Tucson. Hell, the reigning ROY came from the college powerhouse that is....Weber St. If you can play, the NBA will find you. A great player doesn't HAVE to go to UK, UNC, etc to get to the NBA.
