Oh cathy, that hoe was hot,
the first piece of pussy that i ever got.
she fricked me til i was cummin,
put my nuts in her mouth, and started hummin.
i said, shite, um its ejecting.
she started scratching my dillbag and said hold up a second.
turn me over on my back gold,
opened up my butt cheeks and started lickin out my a-hole.
thats why i guess that im the gangsta.
and oh ya, cathleen johnson, sweetheart, i'd like to thank ya.

I have no real issues with this except that he states earlier in the thread how much better wayne is than big l, when he didnt even know who big l was.

Ignorance is bliss i guess.

His lyrics were in the OP. I read them, assessed them, then formed my opinion.

Big L

quote:

I stopped hangin around y'all, cause ****z like you be prayin on my downfall, hopin I flop
Hopin I stop, you probably even hope I get locked
or be on the street corner with a pipe, smokin the rock
I got more riches than you, frick more bitches than you
Only thing I haven't got is more, stitches than you

quote:

I keep a cutie with a soft booty, hoes be runnin up
"Can I get your autograph L?" No bitch, I'm off duty
I'm breakin hottie hearts, ****z drop when my shotty sparks
It ain't no food in my fridge; just body parts
I keep the gear fresh, I keep the braids rugged
I never wear rubbers bitch, if I get AIDS, frick it!
A beef with me, you better prevent it cause in a minute
I'll jump out a tenant rented, and leave a **** body dented
And my swoll knob your main girl cold slobbed
and gave a blow job to my whole mob, with no prob'
Aiyyo crazy bitches slept with L
Then they ****z got mad and tried to step to L But I'm sicker than a **** that's in special ed
so I suggest you spread pretzelhead, 'fore I turn your white sweatsuit red

Does Big L ever move outside of the box as far as creativity concerns? In terms of material I mean.
You said that Wayne is redundant when it comes to material, but I haven't seen anything creative from L.
Just wanna know.

I really don't understand how you see creativity in Wayne but not Big L. They talk about the same "material. I mean hell, just about every rap song talks about the same shite. Yeah Big L may sound more basic than what's going on today but that's because its not '95 anymore.

Think of it as how Movies are. If the classics were released today they wouldn't be appreciated as much because the industry has evolved tremendously as far as production and style. But that doesn't make them lack creativity or talent.

The sole reason I don't like Wayne is that it doesn't sound good to my ears. His style, voice, "flow", beats, and whole persona just doesn't do anything for me. Plain and simple.

"Weezy beat the beat up, like Sonny Liston"
"I leave her pussy microsoft like Windows Vista"
"I get big chips you get alvins"
"Rest in peace Apollo Creed. I'm a monster- everyday is Halloween."
vs.
The Big L quotes on the first page. Excluding the first quote, he never speaks on objects/subjects outside of everyday street corner life.

That's why I find Wayne more creative, and
quote:

its not '95 anymore.
is most likely why.
quote:

Yeah Big L may sound more basic than what's going on today but that's because its not '95 anymore.
But by this remark it seems that you do understand why I think Wayne is more creative.

quote:

and for me it's the complete opposite.
