No. They may be lyrically better, but 90% don't/didn't have Top Billboard hits out recently. That's what makes someone relevant in the rap game today.

Only to sheep. By your logic justin beiber and miley cyrus are the greatest pop stars in music since they dominate the billboard charts. I have my own mind and can decided what i like on my own, i dont need the radio or the billboard charts to tell me what to listen to.

No, but only an idiot would say that they aren't "relevant" in the Pop industry today.
But I forgot that all hipsters, backpackers, and underground lovers like yourself decide who's relevant in the rap game.

I like Drake and old Wayne a lot, but lyrically they don't compare.

Wayne's punchlines don't compare to Big L's?
Yes they do. You just enjoy his subject matter more.

Just listened. He has nice bars, but his rhymes just aren't exciting.
He has the generic East Coast flow rapping over generic 90s beats.
There's really not many things more boring than listening to real street shite type bars over lame beats.
Just my opinion though.

I also felt like his subject matter was plain. I never heard him speak on the realm of life outside of the street corner.
But to each his own.

Thats the first he heard big l, who INVENTED that flow by the way, so im not sure how it could be generic.

Hes never even listened to ready to die, but claims biggie is a gansta wannabe and wayne is better than him.

Kid has no clue.

Your jimmies are beyond rustled. Why can't he have an opinion? If he thinks Wayne has better punchlines than your opinion, then that's okay. Why are you getting so mad over something that is subjective?

Because he's a grumpy old man and becomes enraged at the fact that I can conjure up a well supplemented argument as to why I think Wayne's punchlines are better.

You didn't make a well supplemented argument.

All you did Is claim that Big L isn't exciting and is generic. I could simply state that that Big L is exciting and original, but it isn't me making a well supplemented argument. If anyone is boring and generic, its Wayne after dedication 2/da drought 3.

And I explained why. Maybe you didn't see it or just ignored it.

No ceilings was generic? May I ask what artist(s) had the same type of flow and subject matter before the release of No Ceilings to make you say such a thing?

No Ceilings was generic as hell

Here is another song with the lyrical sickness throughout

Attitudes 2012 - Ras Kass + Royce da 5'9"

Here is Royce's sick bars

Your attitude determines your latitude
This house that we call hip hop, I'm in the attic fool
A mic and some turntables fit for the unstable
Converted to a padded room
Keep a street sweeper, in fact I call the Mag a broom
You seein' me you seein' things
You must of had yourself a bag of shrooms
I make a call make a faker fall
My clique is too sick so say goodbye
In the streets where the stakes/steaks is high
Like Ruth Chris, I'm from the city of true shite
Where the mayor went to jail for being a player right after Drew split
Levels ahead of competitors, Royce that
I'm drinkin' everyday till Hex Murda get his regular voice back
Ras I got you, this K will blast for you
From a block away, ask Tricky I'm that niggy
I'm more hooded than black Dickies
I rap like committing suicide in the booth takin' the track with me
Patron's in my chromosomes in order to leave it alone
You have to ween me off
That Lorena Bobbit chopper will knock a weenie off
Put your body between chalk
From squeezin' the nine iron like you swingin' golf
I'm the best rapper alive, put somethin' on it
You sound plain as a cheese pizza with nothin' on it

There is better hip hop out there than Drake man

At the time it was an entertaining mixtape and when it's played at bars/parties it brings me back to a really fun time in my life but it's not that great.
The best punch lines on their are on "Watch My Shoes" imo.
