Talked with josh this afternoon. He is a good friend of mine and I didn't want to start this thread but I knew just a little after noon. He is going to be evaluated and make a decision on if he'll play again. Josh got the raw end of the deal when he went out against Florida. He missed a few tests while dealing with his concussion after effects that the professors didn't allow him to make up and he eventually had to drop the classes. This put him at part time and not eligible to play by NCAA rules. He was not reinstated in time to play most of the season. This is an all around really great guy. He doesn't have a negative bone in his body and literally would do anything for anybody. I can assure you his decision will be we'll thought out and will involve his family heavily.

God Bless Josh he is a true TIGER. Wish him the best in his future.

And where is Vadal was he at practice
I sure hope that's not the best we can do to replace williford. Vadal was pretty rusty last year, and I remember him having an absolutely atrocious game or two.

Hope what ever the final decision is, he makes the best of it

Unconscious for five minutes? Come on that's highly unlikely.

Yeah I saw him tweet that. Just sounds untrue. Probably a big exaggeration.
Even if it was an exaggeration, the kid was more than likely unconscious for a period of time - whether than be a few seconds or five minutes. That is nothing to scoff at.

I hope the youngsters are ready. I hate it because Josh is a gamer.

it was closer to 5 minutes according to josh...he will make a good coach one day, this is a sad situation

I wish the best for Josh. I hope somebody in his ear puts football in perspective for him, he has to look at all the data, and consider the big picture. A long healthy life should be the goal, not another year of football glory. He has already established himself. His reputation is secure.

how's he know?

Sounds like a pretty easy decision to me. Why would he even consider wanting to play. Honestly, LSU should probably cover their rear ends and not allow him to play, just in case.

As bad as we need Wiliford i want what is best for him. it is a tough call any way you look at it but without a crystal ball it is unkown what the future will hold. I would say if he were a running back or QB etc it would be more likely to get his bell rung again. I not so sure an OL is as likely to sustain repeat head injury. Just a guess cause i am certainly no expert, maybe some of you are and can enlighten us.

Sounds like that had to be pretty scary for the coaches and his teammates yesterday... Thoughts and prayers go out to Williford.

On nearly every play OL and DL helmets collide, pass or run - not to mention all the stuff that happens in short yardage plays, (legal) cut plays, a pulling guard leading a run play, etc.
Are you familiar with American football?

Sorry - you conceded this point - I shouldn't have been an a$$.

Let him know all of Tiger nation is behind him. He needs to make the best decision for Josh Williford, not LSU. His health is infinitely more important. Prayers sent.
