Man you need to get some counseling if seeing a KID from LA playing fr bama actually hurts you inside. Its a sport that you have absolutely no control over so why the hell would you care? Some kids just want to leave home for college and some players might feel that another program is better FOR THEM than lsu. It doesnt matter what anyone else thinks because in the end those players need to do whats best for themselves, not the fans.
Its funny that this topic was brought up because my wife and I were discussing this the other day. I was telling her that if I was an athlete who had a chance at a full ride to a school like Vandy or Stanford Id jump on it in a heartbeat. Obviously some of these kids are only looking to be 3 years and out but for the majority of them they need an education. Do I love LSU? Sure I do. But would it be the only place Id ever go if I had the choice? Hell no.

if you were a top athlete in the state and were banking on the NFL for your future, wouldn't it be smart to go to the program that puts more players in the NFL they anyone? If you want the education then I agree. I guess state pride means nothing. Being a fan isn't enough.
Just have to settle for the NFL around all your friends and family.

i feel LSU needs to be involved in the recruitment of the states top 10 or 12 players. All the kids have to do is pass high school and then its up to how well the college recruits him.

Yes, what i mean by that is that just because they're from LA, they need to go to LSU. LSU, i think, is the best place for them, but when a recruit feels like a whole fanbase is making his decision for him, that recruit sometimes likes to flick off the the fanbase and talk about another school. Ex Noil, Fournette, Robinson

My friend works with Leonard Fournette's dad and he has told him that he's pretty annoyed by everyone harping on him about LF going to LSU.

Tell ur friend to tell LFs dad how blessed he is he doesn't live within an hour of Tuscalosa. He doesn't know what annoying is. They would be naming their puppies and children, Leonard and LF along with Bryant and Saban.
