This is the best LSU and/or Nike could come up with? I mean what school doesn't celebrate the 55th aniversery of something? 55 being such a "magical" number and all. Unfortunately there are going to be more than a few morons that buy this BS and think this is "awesome"

The truthful response would probably be: "We have gotten many calls and emails from fans bitching about us unnecessarily changing the jerseys that no one seemed to have any problems with in the first place. While we agree than the change is stupid and unnecessary, we have a nice contract with Nike, and they make the call on uniform design. We tried to spin it in most creative way possible in hopes that many of you dumbasses would believe the change had some underlying meaning. Just be thankful they stayed away from the helmets (for this year at least). You should have seen the gold-fade-to-purple chrome design they wanted us to wear."

No they don't. Nike doesn't control the graphic design of the jersey/uniform. That's Miles and Stringfellow. (The head equipment manager) Nike can make suggestions, but LSU can reject anything they don't like.

I say Stringfellow is the current head eqipment manager, because after the first game and then further after the first home game, he's really going to feel the heat.

I know LSU fans and they are not going to like these smaller numerals on the jerseys. Makes the jersey's look tacky and high schoolish. It's a change for the worse, not the better.

I stongly suggest than everybody contact Miles and Stringfellow ASAP. Let your feelings be known. Maybe we can nip this thing in the bud. Nip It. Nip it like Barney Fife.

I guess what it all comes down to is that the angle of my dangle is inversely proportional to the heat of my meat.

So we're celebrating the 55 year anniversary of the 58 NC team but not the 10 yr anniversary of the '03 NC team?

That's special.

They tried all 3 degree angles at first, but it just didnt look right. Then 7 but that didnt work either.

Settle the frick down, it's just numbers on a jersey. They changed incidentally as a result of switching to a new template.

I don't get it. What angles on the football jersey are you referring to?

The L Club is planning a celebration of the 2003 team at the Florida game this year.
