C on Z is conflicted. His 2 teams!

If he chooses Nola, and actually improves on his rookie season stats and is able to contribute 25 minutes a game to keep the damage to Davis at a minimum so Davis can keep getting better.
Titles. Imagine brief spans with both a "healthy" Oden & Davis on the blocks.

Even if we get Oden, I seriously doubt he starts until at least December. You saw how careful Monty was with AD. I can just imagine what he'd do with Mr. Glass.

Agreed. Just his post along with his name was too much for me to resist.

This is actually a very good reason for Oden to choose us.

Say we sign Oden to a two year deal, Would y'all be fine with him missing this entire season if it met he would contribute a full season of 20+ minutes a game the next season???
I would

Provided all are healthy, I'll build the hype even further:
Jrue = Gary Payton-ish (pre-3pt range days)
EG = Dwayne Wade-ish
Tyreke = Jamal Crawford-ish
Ryno = Glen Rice-ish
AD = Kevin Garnett-ish
Oden = Shaq-ish

yea....
NO! why spend 3 mil a year on a guy who would sit on the bench and just take up space. I dont want a Cleveland+andrew bynum fiasco in NOLA. If we sign him i want him to gradually get more minuets as the season goes on and hopefully heal fully and be a full time mid level minuet guy off the bench and if were lucky a starter and dominant center in the league

I am cooling on Oden again. I just really think he's going to eat up cap space and cash money and do very little on the court.
His upside is not what it was 5 years ago even if he is "healthy."

But he's only 25. And IF completely healthy for the playoffs, he's still more advanced than Andre Drummond, who people would drool to have.

The fact that youre opinion keeps changing when no outside factors have changed (he has not played a game) says something about your emotional and mental stability haha. Like a girl who goes between loving and hating a guy without even talking to him.

Does anyone think that Camby signing with the Rockets affects Miami's drive to get Oden? I know that Miami at one point was one of the major suitors for Camby's services, but I was never really sure if they had wanted him as a fall back to Oden or vice versa. Obviously they could've just been putting feelers out to see if either would chase a ring and sign for cheap.
Not sure if this was discussed in another Oden thread so SIAP.

couldn't have tried too hard for Camby b/c he reportedly signed for the minimum from the Rockets

Camby's deal with the Rockets is a one-year minimum contract.

I'd be happy signing oden just so the heat can't add another big.
