Micky Arrison has said on the radio down here that
only a few organizations truly turn a big profit and Miami definitely isn't one of them.

He has to know he'll get more love here. There's no way he'll be as loved by Miami fans.

I seriously doubt most Heat fans would care about Oden as much as they did Allen when he signed with the team.

Hopefully he doesn't give AD any PEDs B-)

Would be happy if he plays games for us. Would be annoyed if he never suits up.

I think it was those exactly...not even sure about Celtics. I know Knicks, Lakers, Bulls were in there. He is an awesome owner and basically says he expects to lose money overall but just wants the product to be good.

Arison is worried about losing money. They pulled the amnesty option on Miller to save a few million greenbacks.

We'll see how much he's willing to lose after next season when the big 3 can opt out.

The Heat run has one year left. They had better enjoy it.

Anyone know what happened to the TV deal? There were reports last year that they were close to signing an $80 - $100 million per year TV deal, LINK / but I can't find anything saying they actually signed a deal.

IF the Pelicans end up getting a "healthy" Oden, and that's a big IF, they will be getting a once-in-a-lifetime player. Shaq-ish.

With Jrue, a healthy EG, Tyreke, Ryno, AD, & a healthy Oden, I think we could contend not just for the West, but for the title.

We would have it all: offense, defense, length, quickness, power, athleticism, penetration, shot-blocking, offensive & defensive rebounding, steals, assists, three-pointers, mid-range jumpers, PnR, half-court, fast-break, zone D, man-D, and Austin Rivers.

This post was such a strange mixture of joy, arousal and laughter. Such a weird boner. 10/10 an I agree completely.

Pelicans fans need to lower their expectations too. At best we'll be getting the Oden version of Gordon last season not "Gordon If Healthy". 10-15 mpg, no back to backs. A quality backup defensive big is all that people should be looking for. Again, he's not even cleared to play 5 on 5 yet and his surgery was over 1 1/2 years ago.

I hope he picks the Pelicans and dominates, but this.

He last played a game on Dec 5, 2009. No matter the pedigree, that is a long time to be sidelined
