Mr Ed's on West Esplanade has your more traditional N.O. neigbhorhood food.

If you want to drive just a little ways into Metairie Restaurant Cypress, Austins, Vincents, and Sandros are all pretty good places between Clearview and Williams.

Kenner seafood
Does it sell seafood retail, i.e., fresh shrimp, fish, oysters, crabs, ect?

Several Kenner gems are unmentioned.

Da Piero has an excellent reputation.

Vincent's is in Metairie but it can't be more than 5 minutes from Kenner.

Been closed for a few years now. He is cooking at Chateau Country Club last I heard.
The place that replaced La Parvenue was River House and I think it has closed now too.

In a city that lacks good BBQ options, the best choice in all of NOLA metro area might be right there at Ted's Smokehouse.

I know the owner, and I'm not even sure I'd recommend it.

laketown bar and grill for a good burger at a ridiculously low cost for lunch

Just about all the food I've had from there, and I've had just about everything, is good here and decently priced.

My dad basically lives there, so I've had everything from the steak, to the peanut butter burger, to chicken wings. I like it all.

Fun story about this place. My family had a brunch there years ago, when my little brother was 6. After the meal, we ordered coffee, and he like coffee so he ordered one. The waitress brought him a coffee with whiskey in it, which we didn't realize til he started acting drunk and we tasted his drink.

We were at a loss. I have no idea what the waitress was thinking. Was pretty hilarious though.
