Was looking there to but it says one of the nights isn't available when I checked at hotels.com

They have a nice sports bar that's always packed. I've never stayed there because I live 2 miles away... But the lobby and bar are nice at least.

McKinney and Allen is the area right where all of the bars are located. If you want to be in the hopping area then you need to stay near McKinney between the intersection of Hall and Allen (McKinney crosses each of these).
I can't wait to see what Uptown Dallas is like for the game...it should be epic and I get to walk everywhere.

West Village Off McKinney should be hopping. Lemon Bar at one time was legit. So many places come and go around there so it's hard to keep up . I know Social House will be packed. Ted's room was the place but I imagine it got douche quick . I wonder if Hurricane Grill opened up again on Greenville after the fire

I'm in the Howard Johnson on I think East Copeland and we got here on Sunday and leave this coming Sunday. The entire week cost us $600 and I can drive less than 2 minutes and be at Cowboy Stadium. I can see 6 flags and the water park from the parking lot. They also have a trolly service that brings you to each of these locations. I know there is a hotel, Sheraton I think, that is closer but I think it's way more expensive. They also have free breakfast. Hope this help.

I would imagine Quarter Bar is going to be awesome. It is just south of West Village.
Standard Pour, Black Friar, and Renfield's are a few more worth checking out. They are father South near Allen and McKinney.

I live in West Vil currently. It's typically a bit north for all the craziness.
I refuse to divulge my local haunt. Don't want it to be packed.
And yes, the Loon is known for the strongest drinks in Dallas.

Gaylord marriot. If you have kids it has waterpark. Plus several bars and restaurants on site.

Hilton Anatole. $113 per night.
Free for me, because of HHONORS points.

I frickin hate uptown... but you can bet your arse I will be there that weekend. Can you imagine the look on the yuppy crowds face when tigerland takes over sfuzzi's and the Den.
If you need me, I will be watching it all unfold from renfields

Will probably be a good weekend to hide out at Louie's to avoid the crowds.

I chose to stay within walking distance of the stadium at the Fairfield Inn.
For those of you staying several miles or more away, how easy is it to get back to the hotel? My thought was that it's probably pretty easy to get to the stadium, but a real challenge to find a cab/shuttle back.
Some of you who went to the Oregon game probably already have a solid strategy.
Also, I heard that Sherlocks(sp?) near the stadium sets up a side of the bar/restaurant for each team and is pretty good.

We booked a room at The Admiral for like $100 a night. I don't know much about it other than the reviews weren't bad and it's like 3 miles from the stadium.

Dallas Resident here.
Check out Hotel Belmont, the Omni downtown, the Hyatt Regency downtown just got a facelift (or is in the process of one), Hilton Anatole is a beautiful hotel. Palomar and the Lumen are over by SMU (Kimpton family). The Stoneleigh is a nice older hotel. There's a Hyatt House by Northpark mall--hands down, the BEST mall in the country by far--good shopping, eats and entertainment.
Hope that helps! And GEAUX! I'll be at the game myself.

Hilton Garden Inn Market Place pretty good for $100/N. Stayed for Oregon and was fairly central location; about 20 minute ride out to stadium.
